TOKYO, June 10, 2014 - Pasona Inc. was chosen to run the 2014 SMEs Oversea High Level Personnel Training & Hiring Support Program funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Through this program, the Company will conduct job fairs from July in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand to support mainly Japanese SMEs looking to hire local students. The Company will also partner with local universities to provide classes on Japanese culture and work ethics.
As major Japanese expand their business overseas, SMEs are following as well which is creating hiring needs. However, SMEs do not have strong relations with local education facilities or ways to contact local students and so have difficulty hiring qualified personnel. There is also a growing demand to establish training programs and HR systems that meet the career vision of local employees.
Pasona will aim to meet the aforementioned demands by first, conducting job fairs twice a year in each of the following: Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. The JOB FAIR will provide one-on-one career counseling by Pasona's career consultants as well as corporate seminars by Japanese companies looking to hire and seminars on how to write resumes and prepare for job interviews at Japanese companies.
Second, the Company will partner with local universities and provide classes on What it means to work, Japanese, Japan's technology, Skills required by Japanese companies etc. Visits to Japanese companies and lectures by company employees will also be conducted to further students' understanding and interest for a career at Japanese companies.
