Pasona Thailand Launches Pasona Engagement
An Advanced Analysis Tool

TOKYO, January 12th, 2021 – Pasona HR Consulting (Thailand) Co., Ltd. announces the start of offering a free service trial of “Pasona Engagement” from January 13, 2021 (Wednesday). “Pasona Engagement” is an advanced organizational-analysis tool for companies operating in Thailand.

In Thailand, the population ratio of people aged 60 and over is expected to increase from 18% to 31% by 2040. Among the countries of Southeast Asia, its birthrate is falling and the population is aging rapidly as seen in Japan. Thus, for companies in Thailand, the retention of high-quality human-resource and continued development of skills have become necessary to maintain economic activity and improve productivity in preparation for the decrease in the working population.

Therefore, Pasona Thailand launches an advanced organizational-analysis tool “Pasona Engagement” that quantifies the level of employee engagement and reveals corporate organizational issues. “Pasona Engagement” was developed by Pasona Group based on joint research (*) with the Hosei University Graduate School, which has been available in Japan since July 2020. It clarifies organizational issues by benchmarking high-performing companies in Japan and conducting comparative analysis to understand and analyze the status of each company, department, and individual.

In addition to the languages available in Thai and English, the questions have been customized for companies in Thailand. In the future, joint research will be conducted by Associate Professor Pongtanalert Kritinee Chulalongkorn University (Marketing Department, Faculty of Commerce), using the data obtained through this service. Furthermore, a comparative analysis will be carried out that accumulates the data on high-performing Thai-listed companies.

*Since 2012, we have been conducting joint research with Koji Sakamoto (Business Scholar, Former Chairman of the Business Association that Values People, and Professor of the Graduate School of Regional Policy Design, Hosei University). Mr. Sakamoto surveyed more than 8,000 companies nationwide for more than 40 years. Factor analysis was conducted on all management items common to "good companies" that balance the happiness of employees and good performance, and the overall picture of companies is given across 11 categories. We also conducted an employee-awareness survey that quantitatively grasps the true intentions of employees. Based on the survey results of more than 200 companies with a total of 50,000 people, we established a method for extracting and analyzing the different issues of companies while benchmarking "good companies" so as to put measures in place to revitalize employees and organizations.

Company Survey
This reveals the overall state of the company. The characteristics (strengths and weaknesses) of the entire company are clarified by conducting regular employee-awareness surveys. This mainly analyzes management and human resources, prioritization of issues, planning, execution, and verifies the effectiveness of improvement measures.

Team Survey
This reveals the management state of the team. It is predominantly for managers (department/section managers) and helps us understand team issues and improve team strength, with the aim of changing personal management based on "intuition and experience".

Conditions Survey
This reveals the changes in the state of individual employees. The purpose is to ask three to five specific questions during short intervals, which will lead to follow-up measures, such as early mental care and career interviews, as well as turnover prevention and retention measures.
