TOKYO, February, 2 2015 - Pasona has contracted 2014 SMEs Oversea High Level Personnel Training & Hiring Support Program from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's (hereinafter, "METI") and will conduct a career event in Jakarta on Saturday, February 7th targeting Japanese SMEs operating in Indonesia to hire local students.
The demand for hiring local staff at Japanese SMEs operating abroad is rising. However, SMEs lack communication with students in the region which in turn make it difficult to hire qualified local staff.
At the JOB FAIR, approximately 20 companies will conduct seminars about their company at the booths. The event will be its second time in Jakarta and this time, students from outside of Jakarta such as Bandundu and Surabaya are planned to participate. A panel discussion will also be held to provide an opportunity for companies to talk to students about qualities they look for upon hiring and positive aspects about working at Japanese SMEs.
Pasona has conducted JOB FAIRs in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia in which a total of 1,800 students have participated. The event aims to support companies hire qualified local students. Also, the Company is conducting classes on skills Japanese companies look for and about working for Japanese companies at local universities in each country.
Through this program, Pasona hopes to support Japanese companies expanding its global business to hire qualified local employees.
