TOKYO, February 16, 2015- Pasona has contracted 2014 SMEs Oversea High Level Personnel Training & Hiring Support Program from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's (hereinafter, “METI") and will conduct a career event in Bangkok on Wednesday, February 18th targeting Japanese SMEs operating in Thailand to hire the young.
As more Japanese companies penetrate the global market, the demand for hiring local staff is rising. However, SMEs lack communication with job seekers in the region which in turn make it difficult to hire qualified local staff.
The JOB FAIR will target Japanese SMEs operating in Thailand and provide an opportunity to meet with local students. Approximately 20 companies will conduct seminars about their company at the booths. Pasona will aim to support companies to hire the young by conducting a panel discussion to discuss qualities companies look for upon hiring and positive aspects about working at Japanese SMEs.
Pasona has conducted JOB FAIRs in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia in which more than 2,500 students have participated in total. The event aims to support companies hire qualified local students. Also, the Company is conducting classes at local universities in each country regarding skills Japanese companies look for as well as tips for working at Japanese companies.
Through this program, Pasona hopes to support Japanese companies expanding its global business to hire qualified local young employees.
