20 university students from overseas participating as interns in Japanese companies
"Pasona International Exchange Program 2014" commenced June 26th

TOKYO, June 23, 2014 - "Pasona International Exchange Program 2014", in which Pasona Group Inc. gathers superior university students from overseas to experience business in Japanese companies, will begin on June 26th.

As part of their activities to contribute to society, Pasona Group has organized this program since 1988 to give exemplarity university students from overseas the opportunity to experience business in Japanese companies. Up to this year, about 400 students have participated and been accepted into various host companies.

This year, twenty university students from America, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Vietnam are participating. While working at various individual companies for a total of approximately two months, the university students accumulate business experience and simultaneously learn about Japanese business, culture etc.

The participating university students deepen their understanding of Japanese companies, society and culture through their training as part of the program. Pasona contributes to the development of Japanese companies by supporting these activities which work to build a bridge between participants' home countries and Japan.

Participating Companies 16 companies (Shionogi & Co., Ltd, JACCS CO., LTD., TOMY COMPANY, LTD., Tatsuno Corporation, Tokyo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Tokyo Motor Sales & Marketing Corporation, NEC Corporation, HIROSE ELECTRIC CO., LTD., MITSUI-SOKO CO., Ltd., Pasona Group Inc. etc.)
Number of Participants 20 students (undergraduate and graduate students from America, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam)
Program Schedule June 26th Orientation (1) Business manner training, Welcome Party
June 27th Orientation (2) Culture training, Touring in Tokyo, etc.
June 30th Commence training at individual host companies
(until Aug. 26th )
July 15th Lecture from the Pasona Group Chairman, Mr. Takenaka Heizo
July 26th Cultural Exchange Event (experience Japanese culture)

August 26th

Final Presentation (presentation on the internship), Farewell Party

Twenty undergraduate and graduate students from six different countries and regions were recruited through Pasona's overseas branches. Each student submitted our application and underwent interviews.

(The students filled in the top three countries they would like to work in and the following top 5 countries were calculated using the following point distribution system depending on the rank of the country given by the students: 1st place= 3 points, 2nd place= 2 points, 3rd place = 1 point)

2nd Student's Home Country (38pts/ reason: I am familiar with society and daily life, I want to contribute to my country etc.)
