TOKYO, July 31, 2014 - From Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 31st, about 50 works created under the theme of "NIPPON no katachi (the form of Japan)" by intellectually handicapped "artist employees" from Pasona Heartful Inc. will be displayed on the 6th floor of Tokyo's Wako Hall.

With the concept "talent knows no handicap," Pasona Heartful Inc. started its Art Mura (Art Village) in 1992 to support disabled people who had trouble finding employment, with the goal of expanding the realm of actual work to include art. From 2004, Pasona Heartful Inc. has approached these art activities as a business and has taken in and trained its current 15 "artist employees". In this exhibition, these intellectually challenged artist employees used their unique styles to recreate time-honored Japanese festivals and beautiful places in Japan designated as World Heritage Sites as part of their expression of "NIPPON no katachi".
